Keep him fresh! The Eagles typically get the most production out of Sanders in December.

During the past three NFL seasons, Sanders has shone the brightest in the second half of the Birds’ season. Since joining Philly in 2019, Miles has turned the jets on during December. Try 944 yards and five touchdowns on for size.

Think about it. If a team wants a player to get hot, the month of December would be a great month for that to happen. That’s when we begin discussing playoff pushes, the final divisional games, and the home stretch, and that will most certainly be the case for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022.

Much like Boston Scott saves his best performances for the Eagles games versus the New York Giants, Miles has seen some rather remarkable moments versus the Washington Commanders. He’s run for 130 yards or more versus them twice in his career. Both of those games came during the month of December.

Sure, injuries have limited him. He’s been ‘hit or miss’ at times, but he’s proven, over and over again, that he can hit the home run. Those moments were few and far between a season ago as he failed to reach the end zone, but we all know what he’s capable of.

He’s expressed his desire for extra opportunities, but he’ll have to stay healthy so he can earn them. An impressive tailback committee should aid in keeping him fresh this season, and if he is fresh come December, Eagles fans might be able to look forward to the 2022-2023 NFL season ending with a bang thanks, in part to his efforts.
