54. . . . Kennedy Brooks, running back. 49. player

Josh Jobe and Kennedy Brooks should get their fair share of opportunities versus the Jets.

There haven’t been many ‘wow’ moments yet from Kennedy Brooks, and that’s been a slight disappointment. The running back position is one where younger players have the best chance at making an immediate impact, mainly because they have more license to freelance than say a quarterback or middle linebacker.

Jason Huntley has done a better job of establishing himself as the team’s fourth tailback, but both are mentioned in the ‘other’ category as the Birds named Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott as co-RB2s on the depth chart.

That’s intriguing. Game one should clear up some of the confusion. Both guys will spend a ton of time competing with the Jets reserves.

. . Josh Jobe, cornerback. 38. player. 54.

The Eagles invited three undrafted rookies to training camp: Mario Goodrich, Josh Blackwell, and Josh Jobe. It appears that Jobe may be distancing himself from the other two… slightly.

Jobe lands on the third team on Philly’s first depth chart. He’s small (five-foot-eleven and 190 pounds), but he’s listed as an outside corner while some thought he might settle in as a slot guy. He should be an intriguing watch during the first game as he’s expected to play a decent amount of snaps.

Expect a nice performance, especially seeing as how he may not line up versus Jets receivers who won’t be on the team a month from now.
