The Philadelphia Eagles are set to take flight in the house that Ford built.

Let’s do some inventory. The Philadelphia Eagles’ wide receiver corps consists of A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Quez Watkins, and Zach Pascal. They have one of the game’s best at his position playing at tight end, Dallas Goedert.

The four-headed monster at tailback features Miles Sanders, Boston Scott, Kenneth Gainwell, and Trey Sermon. They also field the NFL’s best offensive line and what might be the game’s best dual-threat quarterback not named Lamar Jackson in Jalen Hurts. Yep! They’re going to be able to score some points.

Jalen Hurts tosses two touchdown passes and runs for another.

We have no fear in making this statement. The Lions have a pass rush. They haven’t done a ton to improve the passing defense, and their biggest weakness on that side of the ball is at cornerback. The Birds are going to be able to score some points. Jalen leads, at minimum, three touchdown drives.

Miles Sanders notches 75 total yards of offense. Dallas Goedert leads all receivers in receiving yards.

Miles Sanders, before the hamstring issue, began training camp on a tear. That will be carried into Week 1. Expect a nice from him as a rusher and receiver. Hopefully, we see him reach the end zone to get that monkey off his back.

Philadelphia racks up 375 yards of total offense.

We may be selling this team short by saying they’ll tally 375 yards of total offense. We haven’t seen them play yet, so we won’t call for a 400-yard outing (at least not yet).
