The Eagles host this one in their nest!

The Vikings may be riding high off of a four-sack performance in Week 1, but Jalen Hurts is much tougher to catch up with than Rodgers. New Vikings defensive coordinator Ed Donatell has his hands full. The Eagles also have the added benefit of playing in the friendly confines of Lincoln Financial Field.

Philadelphia is 6-2 in Monday night games played at home since 2013. One can make the argument that it’s just as important that Birds fans show up as it is that Jalen Hurts shows up. Again, Kirk Cousins has struggled in the spotlight throughout his career, and Birds fans know how to get into the heads of opposing players better than any other fan base.

Jalen Hurts owns a 4-5 career win-loss total in home regular season games as a starter, but he owns a 2-2 tally in the games that he’s started at home that are outside of the traditional Sunday at 1 p.m. EST time slot. In those games, he’s thrown for 740 yards and tossed four touchdowns versus only two interceptions while compiling a winning percentage of 60.6%.

Hurts has also amassed more than 280 rushing yards in those games which further emphasizes his ability to use his legs to make positive plays in critical situations.

The Vikings gave up 111 rushing yards to Green Bay in Week 1. Keep in mind the fact that the Packers only ran the ball 18 times. Philly rushed 39 times for 216 yards in Detroit. It stands to reason that a heavy dose of the Birds’ powerful running game could result in a Monday night win.
