The Eagles’ former kicker landed with the Los Angeles Chargers and helped solve their kicking woes.

It wasn’t that long ago, that Cameron Dicker was an undrafted rookie kicker looking for a chance in 2022. He spent time with the Los Angeles Rams and the Baltimore Ravens in the summer before getting cut by both teams.

The Philadelphia Eagles added him to their nest following an injury to Jake Elliott and filled in admirably during Week 5’s game versus the Arizona Cardinals.

Dicker didn’t show any nerves or signs of being inexperienced in his first NFL start. He made two field goals and two extra points, eight points total, in the matchup. His 23-yard field goal connection with 1:48 remaining on the clock helped elevate Philly to a win. He would get cut the next week after Elliott returned, but he didn’t leave empty-handed. He was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance.

Five days later, he was signed by the Los Angeles Chargers. They were looking for a kicker after having two go down with injuries.

Cameron made his Chargers debut  Chargers in Week 9 versus the Atlanta Falcons. He connected on two field goals in that one, including a 37-yard game-winning shot with time expiring. That earned him AFC Special Teams Player of the Week. His rookie season ended with 21 made field goals on 22 field goal attempts and 24 made extra points. Something tells us he may not have to worry about being cut too many more times.
