The Eagles could add more veteran depth at defensive tackle behind Jordan Davis and Milton Williams.

Well, it felt like the plan was for Philadelphia to thank LInval Joseph and Ndamukong Suh for their services and give more responsibility to some of the young guys at the defensive tackle position like Jordan Davis, Milton Williams, and Marlon Tuipulotu.

We thought they might let veteran Fletcher Cox finally test the free-agent market on March 15th, but now it appears that Fletch and Brandon Graham might both return at discounted rates. Only time will tell if that theory turns out to be an accurate one.

Can Davis dominate? We know he can’t do it alone, and if Philly keeps Cox, they may still need more veteran snaps along the defensive line’s interior. Enter another familiar face, Hassan Ridgeway.

He was added to the roster in 2019 thanks to a trade with the Indianapolis Colts. During his three seasons with Philadelphia, he collected 40 tackles, five sacks, and one forced fumble. He just couldn’t stay healthy and only played a full season once.

Ridgeway’s injury issues followed him to the San Francisco 49ers this past season. He tallied 28 tackles and one sack in 12 games, but it doesn’t appear that he’ll be back.

Reddick’s issues with staying healthy will lower his price tag, and if the Birds are looking for some bargain additions, he’d provide both depth and production seeing as how he isn’t going to be asked to take the majority of the snaps. This works because he’s also a decent run-stopper, an area where the Birds struggled at times last year.
