TCU. 94. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. RB. Kendre Miller. 54

Kendre Miller would make the transition in the Philadelphia Eagles’ running back room a smooth one.

When the Eagles are on the clock at the draft’s 94th-overall selection in Round 3, recent history suggests we may have seen five running backs taken. Over the past five drafts, an average of six running backs were selected before the 94th pick. The 2020 selection meeting saw the highest number taken. Nine came off of the board in 2020. We also saw a low of four in 2021’s draft.

Kendre Miller may not be viewed as a first-round prospect, but this could play to the Eagles’ advantage. Miller collected 1,399 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns in 2022 with an average of 6.2 yards per carry. That helped lead the Horned Frogs to a historic run and an appearance in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game this past January.

Miller is a back that runs with patience and authority. In his first full season as a starter in 2022, he routinely was able to make defenders miss on both inside and outside runs.

He uses both quick cuts and bruising contact to impose his will on defenders. His power would be a healthy complement to Kenneth Gainwell’s style of play as a power back and goal-line threat. Don’t forget about the fact that Philly could lose Miles Sanders and Boston Scott during free agency.
