. . Jalin Hyatt and Cedric Tillman, Vols. . player. 839.

Don’t let the explosive Volunteers offense fool you. Interested parties in the NFL Draft may want to proceed with caution with these Tennessee skill players.

It was quite the run for the Tennessee Volunteers. Their offense was a fireworks show all season, one that scored 50 points or more six times. They racked up an impressive 11-2 win-loss total on the regular season, including a 6-2 mark in the SEC and an exciting win over the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Their only losses came at the hands of the College Football Playoff National Championship-winning Georgia Bulldogs and the South Carolina Gamecocks.

The Vols finished the campaign by vanquishing the Clemson Tigers in the Orange Bowl. As you might expect, that put a bit of a spotlight on the program, and it has shone brightly on quarterback Hendon Hooker. He’s been rising throughout the process on several NFL Draft boards. Some of his defensive teammates like Byron Young, Jeremy Banks, and Elijah Simmons are also turning heads. People are paying a lot of attention to some of their offensive talent as well.

Darnell Wright is potentially one of the top five to ten offensive tackle prospects in the nation. Two of Hooker’s top weapons are among the top ten wide receivers in the nation, Jalin Hyatt and Cedric Tillman. They’ll be intriguing prospects during the selection meeting, but Philly might want to resist the temptation.

Some think Hyatt, at six-foot-tall and 176 pounds, could stand to gain some weight. He isn’t big, but he’s speedy. He broke out in 2022 but didn’t do much in 2020 or 2021. It’s also believed that he’s a one-trick pony a la Quez Watkins.

Cedric Tillman missed time due to injuries. He’s being valued as a second-day prospect, but recent injuries are always concerning.
