Week 2 of the NFL's free agency is in the books, and the Philadelphia Eagles stayed somewhat busy with their moves.

They made some interesting trades, like moving safety Sydney Brown off the roster and bringing in veteran quarterback Andy Dalton. Their biggest move of the week was signing wide receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown to the roster.

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman made some noise with his moves, and now the team is in a solid position to still make a strong move or two before the NFL Draft. Here's a look at the clear winners and losers from this past week.

Winner: Michael Carter II, DB

While Carter had to take a massive pay cut to stay on the roster, Roseman seems to have rewarded him with a shot at starting at safety in 2026 after the Sydney Brown trade. Philly did bring back Marcus Epps, who started four games late in the regular season, so there is a chance he ends up starting, but Carter is younger with more upside, so training camp for the second straight year will feature a position battle at safety.

Loser: Eagles fans regarding A.J. Brown trade rumors

Eagles fans have been put through the wringer by the A.J. Brown trade talks, with everything seen as a sign he is going to the Patriots. From the workout photos to Julian Edelman posting a GIF of the "We're all Patriots" comment to Brown. Unfortunately, this might last two more months, so Eagles fans have no choice but to suffer through it all.

Winner: Jalen Hurts, QB

It's been a pretty good week for Hurts, as he might not be getting the love from the national sports media, but Roseman took care of him in free agency. Dallas Goedert was re-signed to the team while also adding wide receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown to the passing game and running back Dameon Pierce to the backfield. Hurts is starting to see his weapons around him grow, even if A.J. Brown trade talks are heating up.

Loser: Grant Calcaterra, TE

Things might not be looking as good for Calcaterra after the Eagles decided to also sign tight end Stone Smartt. The Eagles' tight end room is five deep now, and there are going to be a few of them that end up not making the roster. Calcaterra's chances of making the 53-man roster are still solid, but if a rookie gets added in the NFL Draft, that could be the end for him.

Winner: Howie Roseman, General Manager

A lot of people were questioning Roseman's very quiet first week of free agency, but the second week was all about creating cap space wherever he could and setting the team up for success. Roseman got some good depth pieces in place and better positioning in the NFL Draft. No, he didn't make any splash moves again, but they have $32 million to work with on the cap space, so Roseman worked his magic again.
