The day has finally arrived as Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown could very much be on the move with the June 1 deadline here.
At 4:01 pm EST, the Eagles will officially save $7 million against the cap and have their dead cap cut in half if the team trades Brown away. The speculation is that the New England Patriots are the only ones involved in trade talks for him and reportedly have the framework in place with a deal that could include a 2028 first-round pick.
While every Eagles fan will be solely focused on the Brown trade, it's not the only noteworthy move that's going to happen at the deadline. In fact, if it does not happen before the time above, the roster will officially be down one player short.
Brandon Graham might officially be off the roster at the June 1 deadline
Graham returned to the Eagles about midway through last year, unretiring to help the franchise with its injury issues. He had signed a one-year deal with the Eagles, and while he has been on the roster the whole offseason, that's about to end.
At the June 1 deadline, if a new deal is not reached, Graham will officially be a free agent, and his contract will be off the books. The Eagles will have a $1,342,000 dead cap charge against them, with Graham no longer on the team.
This offseason, Graham has made it clear that if Eagles general manager Howie Roseman calls him, he will return for another season. There won't be a rush, though, as Graham is most likely going to wait until at least training camp to revisit the idea of returning. Most veterans are not fans of offseason workouts and training camp, so Graham could wait to not deal with that.
It was a slow start for Graham on the Eagles when he unretired, but he turned out to be a big difference-maker late in the season with eight tackles, three quarterback hits, three sacks, and two tackles for loss in nine games. Graham did it all for the Eagles on the defensive line, from rushing off the edge to stepping in for Jalen Carter when he was injured at defensive tackle.

Eagles fans would love to have the 38-year-old defensive lineman back for another season, but it might be more about whether the franchise wants him back. While Philly says goodbye to Brown forever, they will also have to wave goodbye to Graham...for now.
