With the NFL season now fully in the offseason, the Philadelphia Eagles can become fully invested in improving the roster for 2026. Whether it be coaching changes, draft projections, or possible releases, the 2026 NFL offseason has been in full swing since the end of the regular season.
With all eyes now set on free agency and the draft, Bleacher Report has turned its attention to the 2026 power rankings with a "way too early ranking" for all 32 teams. The Eagles were ranked in the top 10, just ahead of the Houston Texans, starting at No. 9, with writer Kris Knox offering his thoughts on Philly.
"The Philadelphia Eagles are still the team to beat in the NFC East, though they'll have a few questions to answer in the coming months. Can Philly get back in sync with wideout A.J. Brown? Will Lane Johnson retire? Will new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion, who has just two years of coaching experience, actually fare better than Kevin Patullo? There are a few things we don't know about the Eagles at this point. What we do know is that they have an impressive overall roster and a track record of filling needs in the draft."
Eagles ranked ninth on Bleacher Report's 2026 power rankings
While the Eagles' ability to make the playoffs hasn't been in question in the Nick Sirianni era, their consistency has been up and down. Over the last five seasons under Sirianni, it has been Super Bowl or bust with his teams. Heading into 2026, the Eagles remain atop the NFC East, with the most established roster in the division.
The Eagles have had their fair share of strife so far this season. The team relieved Kevin Patullo from his duties as offensive coordinator and brought in former NFL quarterback Sean Mannion, who spent the last two years with the Packers as an assistant. They will also be without renowned offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland, who has been a major contributor to the Eagles' offensive line.
Philadelphia also has plenty of questions about personnel moving forward. Questions loom about A.J. Brown's status as a prime trade candidate, and Lane Johnson's future is in doubt amid rumors of retirement.
Regardless of the Eagles' shortcomings, Philadelphia still has plenty of experience and depth, with players who have contributed to their past postseason success. The Eagles have been aggressive this offseason, with major changes already underway.
