Howie Roseman has never been accused of lacking a plan. Philadelphia Eagles fans better hope that he has one now.
The Eagles lost Lane Johnson and traded Cam Jurgens to the Baltimore Ravens just days after falling to 2-2 on the season. Unless they can turn things around quickly and find answers on the offensive line, all signs point to a rebuild.
That rebuild starts with the 2027 offseason, and with limited cap space to work with, the 2027 NFL Draft will be Roseman's best path to adding talent. He has a bit of extra draft capital to work with after the Jurgens trade, and this stacked draft class gives him the perfect opportunity to bring in reinforcements.
Before getting started, let's get one thing out of the way: No, we will not be replacing Jalen Hurts in this mock draft. He has earned the right to at least finish the season before his job security is questioned.
Round 1 - Greg Johnson, OG, Minnesota
The Eagles were relatively prepared to lose Johnson, having drafted Markel Bell in the third round this year. As raw as the rookie tackle is, he could become a solid starter if given time to develop. But with Jurgens out of the picture, there isn't a clear long-term answer.
That's where Greg Johnson comes in. He's arguably the best pure guard prospect in the class, and at 6'6" and 327 pounds, his physicality should transfer to the NFL. He's well-rounded, excelling in both the passing and running games. Picking Johnson would help the Eagles re-establish the trenches-first identity they've built in the last decade.
Round 2 - Jelani McDonald, S, Texas
Philadelphia urgently needs help at safety. Marcus Epps and Andrew Mukuba just aren't cutting it, but luckily, the 2027 class has a few safeties who could be immediate starters in the NFL. Jelani McDonald produced three interceptions last season for the Texas Longhorns, and he's a consistent tackler.
The Eagles could pair McDonald with Mukuba, his former teammate at Texas.
Round 4 - PJ Williams, OT, SMU
The Eagles love their mid-round swings on offensive linemen with incredible physical traits, so why not take another in 2027?
PJ Williams has the size and lateral movement to hold up as a right tackle in the NFL. He's a multi-year starter for SMU and could be a quality swing tackle for Philly at worst. This is a low-risk, high-reward pick.
Round 5 - A.J. Holmes Jr., DT, Texas Tech
Philadelphia could always use extra reinforcements on the interior of its defensive line. If they let Moro Ojomo leave in free agency, they'll be desperate for another player to add to the rotation.
A.J. Holmes Jr. is a stout run defender with the explosiveness to grow as a pass rusher. He can play as a nose tackle or as a three-technique, which would allow the Eagles to move Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis around based on matchups.
Round 5 (via A.J. Brown trade) - Adam Trick, EDGE, Texas Tech
We're going with back-to-back Texas Tech defensive linemen here, but that's about where the similarities end. Adam Trick is a pass-rush specialist, using his bend and athleticism to beat offensive tackles around the outside.
He logged 8.5 sacks for Miami of Ohio last season before transferring up to join the Red Raiders.
Round 5 (via Cam Jurgens trade) - PJ Woodland, CB, LSU
Roseman could use one of the two picks he got back for Jurgens to solidify another area of his roster. The Eagles will need another cornerback if they don't bring Riq Woolen back, and PJ Woodland could be a solid answer.

He wouldn't be an immediate starter for Philadelphia, but Woodland could be part of Vic Fangio's rotation while working primarily on special teams.
