There are so many new faces in Philly as the Philadelphia Eagles roll into the 2026 season with a fresh look on the offense in a lot of ways.
The coaching staff on offense is pretty much new, with Sean Mannion taking over as the offensive coordinator after Kevin Patullo was relieved of his duties from the job at the end of last season. There are even new weapons on offense from free agency and the draft, but the talk for now is first-round pick wide receiver Makai Lemon and second-round pick tight end Eli Stowers.
One day before the rookie minicamp gets underway, Stowers spoke with the media about his new coach, Mannion. It sounds as though Stowers is excited to be a part of the new scheme in Philly.
“He’s a really smart mind," Stowers said via Eagles reporter Anthony DiBona. "I can tell that it’s going to be a really good scheme and that we’re going to be able to make some really good plays and our offense is going to be powerful because of him.”
Eli Stowers is ready to shine in Sean Mannion's offense in 2026
Unlike what happened with Patullo last season, the Eagles' offense will be more open, with some new wrinkles. Mannion is going to have a lot of different looks to open up the defense and allow his playmakers to, well, make plays in the middle of the field.
Stowers is a great fit for the offense because he is an athletic tight end who could play wide receiver if needed, thanks to his 4.5 speed. He also used to play quarterback, so he knows defenses well and where to find the opening to help his signal caller out.
The Eagles also have DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, Dontayvion Wicks, and Elijah Moore in the passing game that can open things up. When it is said that the Eagles are fully loaded on offense, that is the case.

Mannion has all the weapons around him to be great, but if Stowers becomes the guy Eagles fans hope he can be, this offense can really take off.
