Well, if the injury report couldn't get any scarier for the Philadelphia Eagles on a short week, it just did.

On Wednesday, the final Week 6 injury report for the Eagles was released. As expected, Landon Dickerson (ankle) and Grant Calcaterra (oblique) are both listed as out for the Thursday matchup against the New York Giants. This was already reported as expected with Dickerson potentially being gone for two games.

The good news is that Saquon Barkley (knee), Jihaad Campbell (biceps), and Byron Young (triceps) were all full participants in practice and are good to play. Linebacker Nakobe Dean is listed as questionable with his knee injury and is expected to play for the first time since the Green Bay Packers' NFC Wild Card game last year.

The more glaring issue for the Eagles right now is that a new player has been added to the report and is questionable to play: Jalen Carter.

What happened with Jalen Carter?

Carter was a late addition to the injury report with a heel injury and has been listed as questionable. He had been dealing with a shoulder injury throughout the season, and now he can add the heel to it.

This isn't great news for the Eagles to potentially lose Carter the day before the game. Although he has struggled this season, he remains a crucial part of the defense.

In four games, Carter has racked up 10 tackles and six quarterback hits. He missed the first game of the season against the Dallas Cowboys after being ejected for spitting at Dak Prescott right after the opening kickoff.

More pressure will be on Moro Ojomo and Jordan Davis to step up on the defensive line. Both guys have already been great with getting to the quarterback, but Davis is playing at a Pro Bowl level this season.

The Eagles will have to wait and see how Carter does tomorrow before determining if he will play. Losing him on a short week would be a tough loss for Philly.
