While the 2026 season has gone pretty badly for the Philadelphia Eagles, others who used to be on the team are either feeling the pain or doing better than they are.

At 2-6, the Eagles are on the brink of playoff elimination and are looking to rebuild. Philly lost key pieces in the offseason who are proving to be major mistakes, and depth is a big problem for the Eagles.

Former players on the team are starting to find their stride in 2026 and are doing big things outside the organization. How are they doing after Week 8? Let's take a look at how things are for former Eagles players.

  1. Jahan Doston has monster play despite downpour rain in Week 8
  2. Cam Jurgens has awful day in Ravens loss
  3. Nakobe Dean continues long streak with Raiders breaking their losing streak
  4. Alex Singleton also thriving in monster win for Broncos
  5. Jaelan Phillips out with injury

Jahan Doston has monster play despite downpour rain in Week 8

The Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Week 8 showdown was defined by a massive rainstorm that hampered the passing game, and the Bucs didn't complete many passes. That didn't stop Tampa Bay from winning 16-0 over the Falcons, but former Eagles receiver Jahan Dotson had by far the longest play of the game. Dotson somehow turned a short completion into a 76-yard gain in the loss.

In the game, he had two receptions for a season-high 95 yards. Dotson now has 14 receptions for 337 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 24.1 yards per catch, including four catches of 30 yards or more. After two tough years in Philly, Dotson may be on track for the best season of his career.

Cam Jurgens has awful day in Ravens loss

Jurgens' start with the Ravens has been relatively quiet, as he worked his way back from a concussion and only recently started playing again. He quickly showed Baltimore fans why the Eagles traded him away so quickly after allowing five pressures and one sack in their 36-10 blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills.

This season, Jurgens has allowed 17 pressures, two quarterback hits, and two sacks in 219 pass-blocking snaps, and has been called for four penalties. That trade just looks better and better for Philly.

Nakobe Dean continues long streak with Raiders breaking their losing streak

Dean has been incredible for a Las Vegas Raiders team that's been wildly inconsistent all year. The Raiders finally broke their four-game losing streak with a close win over the New York Jets. Dean finished with 12 tackles and one tackle for loss.

What makes those 12 tackles impressive for Dean is that he's hit that number in five of the last six games. Nothing is slowing this man down from having a career season in the NFL. That's a free agent loss that is hurting the Eagles right now.

Alex Singleton also thriving in monster win for Broncos

Singleton has been the NFL's leading tackler all season, and that trend hasn't slowed as he has another great game. The Broncos earned a massive four-point win over their divisional rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs, and Singleton played a role with 14 tackles and one sack.

In eight games, Singleton already has 101 tackles this season. The NFL record for most tackles in a season is 214, so Singleton could break it with nine games to go.

Jaelan Phillips out with injury

Injuries continue to play a big part in Phillips' NFL career, as he missed the last two games for the Carolina Panthers with a hamstring injury. Entering their Week 9 game against the Broncos, his status appears to be up in the air again.

He's produced 2.5 sacks this year and has shown some good things, but the hope is that he can get back on the field soon for Carolina. Phillips plays a big role on a team that is trying to fight through multiple key injuries, so they need a return on investment for the $120 million they spent on him.
