Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has faced some major backlash over the last few weeks, but that hasn't stopped him from putting in the work.

A recent ESPN article cited sources within the franchise who slammed Hurts over multiple incidents that occurred last year and over the past few years in Philly. He was criticized for his body language, changing plays in the huddle, and was held responsible for the final play call in the playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers last season.

Hurts took to social media to show everyone what he has been working on to improve his craft. Interestingly enough, he took a picture with former Eagles quarterback coach Scot Loeffler, as it appears the two were working together.

Last year was Loeffler's first and only season with the Eagles as the quarterbacks coach, after he left his head-coaching job at Bowling Green to take the role. While the results from Hurts' 2025 campaign were mixed, the franchise quarterback managed a career-high 25 touchdowns and threw only six interceptions.

One of the challenges Hurts has faced over the years is having a different play-caller every single season since he was in college. This is a clear sign that Hurts is comfortable with Loeffler and wants to continue working with him.

Loeffler was among a large number of offensive coaches who did not return to the new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion's staff, as very few were retained. Parks Frazier replaced Loeffler as the QB coach for 2026.

It remains to be seen whether Hurts will thrive under the new coaching staff, but it is interesting to see him work with Loeffler as he tries to prove he's still an elite quarterback. Eagles fans have to feel encouraged to see their franchise signal-caller putting in the work.
