Soak it all in, Philadelphia Eagles fans. They were able to accomplish an NFC East title even if the road to it was dangerous and bumpy.
The Eagles captured their second straight division title with a 29-18 win over the Washington Commanders in Week 16, the first time that's happened in 21 years. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was a big reason for that with yet another solid game as he completed 22 of 30 passes for 185 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions, adding seven carries for 40 yards in the win.
After the game and celebrating the division title with his teammates, Hurts talked about winning it and having the kind of success this team has had. For Hurts, it's all about just living in the moment and enjoying the moments when you have them.
"I’ve said it multiple times. These times, they’re rare times," Hurts said via NBC Philadelphia's Dave Zangaro. "It’s something that we all need to soak in and relish in, in this moment right now. And take it a day at a time as we always have. But keep the main thing the main thing. That’s what we’ve done for 5 years since everybody has collectively been here. That’s been my approach since I’ve been an Eagle."
Hurts stepped up again and helped the Eagles win another division title
This will now make it three NFC East titles for the Eagles in the last four years with Hurts as the starting quarterback. That's quite the achievement after being in a division that has featured so many different winners over the past 21 years.
It's a massive credit to Hurts, who has been under fire all season for his play and different reports off the field. From not wanting to run QB-designed runs to having teammates reportedly be frustrated with him, Hurts got through all of that and still put his team in a position to repeat as Super Bowl champions.
During the season, Hurts has completed 65.8% of his passes for 3,114 yards and 24 touchdowns to six interceptions. He's also rushed for 416 yards and eight touchdowns on the year as well.

It hasn't been all perfect for Hurts during the season, but he's coming through when the Eagles need him to, and now they have a shot at bringing home another Lombardi Trophy even if no one else believes they can.
