That's a good sign!

The last time there was a report on Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts from ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler, it was all bad news.

Fowler shared that multiple sources told him Hurts was uncoachable, displayed poor body language, and constantly changed plays. A new report from Fowler now indicates that things are going really well between Hurts and his new offensive coordinator, Sean Mannion.

“I'm hearing the two have hit it off, and Jalen Hurts likes how Sean Mannion structures the offense, how he talks about how they're going to attack things because it's going to look different," Fowler said on his SportsCenter appearance. "It's going to be more under center for Jalen Hurts, more play-action than he had done in the past. So, our sources have told us that he's at times been reluctant to some of those changes, but right now he's as open as he's ever been to some of those."

Jalen Hurts and Sean Mannion seem to be hitting it off right away

At least it's good to hear that Hurts is open and willing to learn from Mannion. Fowler's report that really got Eagles fans riled up has always seemed off, as the star quarterback has been excited about Mannion's arrival all offseason.

Earlier in the offseason, Hurts expressed his excitement with the prospect of working with Mannion and his offense. Maybe it was all for public show, but there is plenty of reason to be excited about a new scheme coming in.

Hurts never seemed to be a fan of Eagles' 2025 offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo's offense at all last year, leading to the signal caller most likely changing the plays and doing things his way. Eagles fans can't blame Hurts when Patullo is running a million hitch routes and running back surrender draws multiple times a game.

Philly needed new life in the offense, as the passing game has ranked in the bottom 10 in each of the last two seasons. With Mannion working closely with Hurts, this feels like a much better combo than what the Eagles fan base had to deal with last year.
