We know who's fault it is.

It has been tough sledding for the Philadelphia Eagles' offense over the last two games, despite the team picking up two consecutive massive wins over playoff teams, the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions.

Philly's once-lethal offense has scored just 26 points in the last two games. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts hasn't completed over 60% in either game after doing it in every single game this season.

Overall, the Eagles lead the NFL in three-and-outs, going zero-for-five against the Packers and zero-for-seven against the Lions. Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo spoke to the media as he discussed why this has gone so wrong with negative plays on early downs and what they can do to alleviate the issue.

“Like everything, when you look at the situations we have when we're on track, we do a pretty good job. If we get off track a little bit, whether it's a negative play or a penalty, that puts us in a hole. We've had some trouble with that. It starts with us as a staff to make sure we're in a good play and we're executing at a high level and we're all detailed up, and then if something happens like a penalty, sometimes those happen. We've got to be able to overcome that.

That's been the thing a little bit. We've had opportunities, we just haven't made the most of them at times. We know we're capable. The guys are excited about it, and they feel like we're moving in the right direction. We've just got to continue to push through that and explode when we need to.”

Eagles hurting on offense is holding team back from true potential

This offense has been in turmoil all season and only seems to be regressing as the season rolls on. Philly is 25th in the NFL in total offense with 300.1 yards per game, 28th in passing offense with 184.9 yards per game, and 17th in rushing with 115.2 yards per game.

Fingers are being pointed in every direction at what's going on. Some would say the Eagles are now too focused on getting A.J. Brown the ball after his recent complaints about the offense, while other reports say the team is frustrated with Hurts' play on the field.

The truth is, the blame is on everyone. Hurts has been wildly inaccurate, Saquon Barkley doesn't have the vision to cut like he did last year, Brown and the rest of the receivers are not getting open quickly enough, the tight ends are struggling to block, the offensive line is banged-up, and Patullo is way too predictable with his play calling.

This Eagles offense is a mess, and it might be time to accept that the 2025 team will have to lean on its defense to win a Super Bowl, because after 10 games, the unit shows no signs of getting better.
