Initial first look at the Philadelphia Eagles' Week 3 injury report is...well...overwhelming, given how many offensive players are on it.

The Eagles had four players missing practice, four players who were limited in practice, and one who was a full participant. Here is a full look at the injury report:

Eagles dealing with so many injuries on offense

It's not the best look to have all three running backs hurt and two of them missing practice. With that being said, thankfully Barkley was the on that practice.

He suffered a stinger on the very first play of the 24-20 win over the Tennessee Titans and tried to come back, but didn't last long. Bigsby and Shipley being banged up isn't a great look, but it looks like Barkley won't be starting now, which is good news.

Smith's hamstring injury from training camp appears to have popped back up. This is most likely the Eagles being cautious and letting him rest for the day. Don't be surprised if he shows back up on the second injury report as a "limited" participant.

Goedert is no surprise at all, as he is expected to miss a few weeks, but not long enough to be on IR. Zach Ertz was signed and is working his way in practice to be his replacement.

Steen is a new injury that has popped up with the shoulder, but he still fully practiced. He doesn't seem to be a concern at all for the moment.

Philly's defense has their own injuries they are dealing with

Carter continues to battle through that wrist injury, but it's not completely affecting his performance. He is still able to dominate from the line, so there's no need to be worried about him.

Greenard practiced again with the pectoral and is working his way back. Eagles fans are more frustrated with him versus worried, as he is closer to returning, but from what defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said, he's still a long way from making a significant impact.

While Mukuba probably will still play, the knee is a bit more concerning because it is affecting his play. He did not have a good game in the Week 2 win over the Titans. Kenny Moore was signed and could help out on defense, but he might be more for Marcus Epps than Mukuba.

Why Eagles fans have no reason to worry about the offensive injuries (yet)

First injury report is never the one to overthink. Players miss them because they get a veteran rest day or teams could be overly cautious with not overexposing players to injury with too much practice.

The second injury report, though, is the one that needs to be examined deeper. If players miss a second straight practice, that usually doesn't bode well for their playing status.

A massive advantage for the Eagles this week is that they play on Monday night against the Chicago Bears. That's one extra day to prepare and heal for the game.

There's still a lot that can happen over the next few days, but Eagles fans need to take the advice of Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers: R-E-L-A-X.
