Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts' future has been put into question this offseason, but a new suggestion from an NFL insider might make things worse for the franchise's signal-caller.
Hurts has faced all kinds of criticism; an ESPN report cited sources who said he is uncoachable and that he was changing plays throughout the 2025 season. A new report said the Eagles quarterback is unhappy with the lack of support from his franchise after the ESPN story and others came out about him in the offseason.
Well, things might not be getting any better for Hurts as some ideas are being floated around, like Brendan Sorsby being a potential selection for the Eagles in the NFL Supplemental Draft. NFL insider Jason La Canfora added another possible idea: Eagles general manager Howie Roseman calling the Baltimore Ravens about quarterback Lamar Jackson.
"Call me crazy, but if the Eagles are still looking to upgrade at QB after this season, I could see Howie Roseman inserting himself into this Lamar situation in a big deal. If Jackson isn’t extended by Week 1 they will be hanging a huge “Call Us About Our Quarterback After The Season” sign on the front of their franchise."
Should the Eagles call Ravens about Lamar Jackson replacing Jalen Hurts?
Jackson is an athletically gifted talent who has been very good in the NFL over the years, with two MVPs to his name. The issue with him is that he is not a Super Bowl champion, as he has yet to make the big game since joining the NFL nearly 10 years ago.
Hurts, on the other hand, has two Super Bowl appearances, won one, and was Super Bowl MVP. Two of Hurts' best games of his career were on the biggest stage in football, so the clutch gene is there for Hurts, while it is inconsistent at best with Jackson.
The more these possibilities come up, the more unrealistic they are. Roseman would not go after Jackson as if he really truly wanted to make a future quarterback change; he would prefer to draft and develop one.

Jackson in an Eagles uniform doesn't seem like a very likely scenario, even if the possibility of him doing well in Philly is high. Eagles fans are loyal to the guy who has won a Super Bowl already, so they would prefer Hurts over Jackson.
