Over the years, the Philadelphia Eagles have missed pure speed at wide receiver, and they have appeared to solve that problem with two signings.
Since the start of free agency, the Eagles have signed wide receivers Marquise "Hollywood" Brown and Elijah Moore. Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni told reporters it was all about adding depth to a position that needs it.
"It's been fun watching those guys throughout their career, after seeing them, not too long ago, come out in the draft, and always been a fan of those guys and their game and their style of play," Sirianni said via The Athletic's Zach Berman. "Just adding depth. This game is there's so many ups and downs throughout the year. There's bumps and bruises throughout the way. So you're always looking to add depth at every position, and competition in every position. ..I love their speed, their ability to get in and out of breaks and create separation, how they are with the ball on their hands. I've really enjoyed talking to both of them."

Brown is expected to be a favorite to start on the team. He fits perfectly as a slot receiver for the Eagles that can be used to go deep for quarterback Jalen Hurts to throw to.
Moore might have more of a challenge despite his veteran experience. He still has to compete with Darius Cooper, Johnny Wilson, and a potential rookie selected in the 2026 NFL Draft just to have a spot on the roster.
The biggest impact on what will happen with Brown and Moore's roles on the team will be A.J. Brown and whether he actually gets traded. All indications have been that Brown will be sent to the New England Patriots after June 1, but that remains to be seen.

For the time being, Marquise Brown and Moore add an electric element to the passing offense that should help make it as explosive as it has been in years.
