After all the criticism that the Philadelphia Eagles have been taking for their stunning 21-17 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday, no one is pointing their fingers at Jalen Hurts. And they shouldn't.

There were definitely moments where Hurts was called upon to throw the ball and missed on them. Communication issues seemed to be the common theme with the team afterwards, when comments were made.

Everyone was asking for more passes from Hurts, and he gave it to them with 38 passes and 44 drop-backs. He completed 23 of those throws for a season-high 280 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions.

The downside to his stats is the staggering six sacks he took. Granted, it should be noted that the first two sacks were ones where Hurts ran out of the pocket and went out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage, so those count as sacks.

Suffering the first loss of the season was disappointing, but many have started questioning whether the Eagles have the same will to win a Super Bowl as they did last year. If fans and media checked out one play from the game, they would realize that yes, the Eagles still want to win it all, and Hurts is the ring leader in that pursuit.

Don't ever question Hurts' will to win ever again

On the final play of the game, the Eagles and their fan base were still angry about the no-pass interference call from the referees against Dallas Goedert as they went into the huddle. The stressful Hail Mary call was made. Hurts threw it into the end zone, but it fell in the end zone, not in the Eagles' hands.

It was over. The Eagles lost and everyone was feeling it.

The social media account, Philadelphia Eagles Central, pointed out something on that play on Monday that no one caught live. After Hurts had launched the ball, he ran right down the field to see if he could help with catching the football.

An incredible effort play to try to do whatever he could to help his team. He got close to the end zone to his credit, but not enough air was put on the ball for him to get in the end zone at the same time as the pass he threw.

It may seem like a small moment, but it's one that the Eagles can watch on tape and use as motivation that their quarterback was willing to put his body on the line to win the game. Kudos to Hurts for doing that. More of that is needed for the rest of the season.
