There was no surprise when the Philadelphia Eagles decided to remove Kevin Patullo as offensive coordinator, but many wondered what would happen to him afterwards.

Sean Mannion replaced Patullo as offensive coordinator, and after that, there were swift changes to the offensive coaching staff in Philly. Despite all that, there were no updates on what was going on with Patullo, but that finally changed.

NFL insider Mike Garafolo reported that Patullo will be joining the Miami Dolphins' coaching staff as the pass game coordinator. Patullo will be working under Dolphins offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik, who was a candidate for the Eagles' offensive coordinator job.

Kevin Patullo leaves Philly and lands on his feet in Miami

Patullo lasted only one season as the Eagles' offensive coordinator after being on the staff all five years Nick Sirianni has been the head coach. For years, Patullo was considered Sirianni's right-hand man and a friend, which helped Him land the offensive coordinator position in 2025.

There were multiple issues on offense, with Patullo running the show, as they finished the season in the bottom 15 in every major offensive statistical category, including rushing, passing, scoring, and total offense. Part of the problem was the play-calling, as Patullo was infamous for making his receivers run multiple hitch routes a game and, in the second half, running the ball up the middle on first and second down with the lead.

It was not a great run for Patullo, as he faced significant criticism from the media and fans, including a group of fans who decided to egg his house. While it would be unfair to pin everything on Patullo, the offense was just too bad to justify him keeping the job.

As he moves on to Miami, Eagles fans most likely won't be sad to see him go, but the team is losing a great game planner who just struggled with the game-day operations. Hopefully, he will learn from the Eagles' experience and improve as a coach with the Dolphins.
