There's been a lot said about Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter this offseason after an interesting 2025 campaign.

Carter has been the subject of several conversations, including a potential contract extension or fifth-year option being picked. He's also been surprisingly involved in trade rumors, including one that had him as part of a potential Maxx Crosby trade package.

That hasn't stopped Carter from putting in the work during the offseason to prepare for the 2026 season. A recent video has surfaced showing him squatting with four bells on each side of the bar, doing multiple reps with ease.

Last season was a weird year for Carter, as he started out missing the first game of the year against the Dallas Cowboys following a spitting incident with Dak Prescott during the opening kickoff. He then missed a few games throughout the season with multiple injuries.

Despite all of that, he still ended up with his second straight Pro Bowl selection as he racked up 33 tackles, 12 quarterback hits, seven pass deflections, five tackles for loss, and three sacks in 11 games. Pro Football Focus graded Carter out at a 60.1, ranking 57th out of 134 interior defensive linemen in the NFL, as he also had 41 pressures and 30 hurries.

Carter seems to be looking at a long future in Philly, but last season was the first time there was any doubt, from his lack of maturity in games to the injuries he suffered throughout the year. This is a big offseason for him to get better physically and right the wrongs of last season.

He seems to be taking the proper steps in making sure that happens, but it is a long road for him to get back to the guy who dominated in 2024. Eagles fans trust that he can get back to that guy soon enough, though.
