The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to be very active in the 2026 NFL Draft, like they have been in the past, but it looks like they are already at work.

ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler reported that the Eagles are among the teams looking to move up in the draft, as they have already had discussions before the event begins. The Eagles currently own the 23rd overall pick and seem to be looking to move up from there.

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has been known for moving up and down in the draft and isn't afraid of making a trade. Roseman, in recent years, has traded up for guys like Jalen Carter and Jihaad Campbell just last season.

Eagles making pre-draft conversations about moving up

One topic of discussion is that the Eagles want to move up to potentially land a wide receiver or an offensive tackle. Many have expected Philly to focus on finding the successor to right tackle Lane Johnson, and there might be a run on offensive tackles between picks 10 and 20, meaning Roseman will have to strike a deal to get it done. Alabama's Kadyn Proctor has been a name to watch for the Eagles to move up for.

The wide receiver scenario seems less likely, as it would require someone like Arizona State's Jordyn Tyson for the Eagles to actually move up. After Tyson's workout for NFL teams last week, he is more than likely going in the top 15.

With the potential of an A.J. Brown trade in June, the Eagles have room to be more aggressive in this year's NFL Draft with their first-round pick and have two third-round picks to move if they need to. Roseman loves striking deals, and he's got a chance to move up and get a difference maker on the team.
