Everyone within Philly wants to know what the Philadelphia Eagles are going to do with A.J. Brown in a trade and the other moves they will make in free agency.

This past week, the Tush Push has caught Eagles fans' attention, but are these the storylines they should be focused on? The Athletic's Eagles reporter, Zach Berman, believes there is another bigger story that isn't getting enough attention.

"For as much interest as there is in A.J. Brown updates or whether the Tush Push will remain a part of the game, one of the most important storylines about the franchise’s future is whether the Eagles will replace Lincoln Financial Field in the next decade. The Eagles’ current lease with the city runs through 2032. Seven seasons might seem like a long time until you consider the timeline to approve, plan and construct a new stadium or renovate a stadium — one that could perhaps have a roof and allow Philadelphia to host more major sporting events."

Could the Eagles look at a new stadium?

Berman mentioned that season ticket holders took a survey back in July about their experience in the stadium. He also said that the Eagles are just in an "exploratory phase" of the process right now.

Lincoln Financial Field is really not that old of a stadium, as it was built back in 2004, so at 22 years, it is not exactly considered old. It would be surprising if the Eagles decided to build a stadium and have it up by 2032, since there haven't been many complaints about the stadium right now.

The only part of the conversation that has been brought up is how in today's age, a lot of people like being indoors and not having a roof has prevented the Eagles from hosting a Super Bowl when it is cold and potentially snowing in February. Eagles fans are different, though, as they want to be outside in the snow. Otherwise, fans don't get moments like Saquon Barkley's long fourth quarter touchdown against the Los Angeles Rams in the 2024 playoffs or LeSean McCoy's long touchdown run against the Detroit Lions.

While some people might want to stay warm inside, Eagles fans will sacrifice the Super Bowl to have their games outside, but it all comes down to how owner Jeffrey Lurie feels about the stadium.
