The Philadelphia Eagles got some really nice weapons on offense in the 2026 draft that are going to make a massive difference for a unit that struggled mightily last year.

One of the big differences, besides the plethora of new receivers and tight ends, is offensive coordinator Sean Mannion and the completely different scheme he brought with him in Year 1. Eagles' second-round pick, tight end Eli Stowers, talked about learning this offense, dropping a big hint about the unit.

“I can tell we are going to make some really good plays," Stowers said via WIP's Eliot Shorr-Parks. "Our offense is going to be powerful.”

The Eagles are looking stacked offensively, especially in the passing game, compared to last year. Stowers and fellow rookie first-round pick Makai Lemon have brought youth to a unit that really needed. There are some solid veterans added as well, with Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, Elijah Moore, and Dontayvion Wicks.

Philly will still have two focal points to the passing game that will be important: DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert. A.J. Brown is looking like he will be wearing a New England Patriots uniform in 2026, so more will be put on Smith and Goedert to help in the passing game.

While there is a significant amount of pressure on quarterback Jalen Hurts to disprove the negative reports about him over the last month, Mannion has just as much pressure on him as a first-time play caller and only his third year as a coach. 2025 Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo was a disaster as a first-time play caller, which led Philly to be in the bottom 15 in all major offensive statistical categories.

The big difference between Mannion's scheme and Patullo's scheme is how much more wide open the offense will be. Mannion is going to spread the field more and will throw the football with creative play-calling that the likes of Sean McVay, Matt LeFleur, and Kyle Shanahan run, compared to Patullo's 10 million hitch routes and surrendering draw plays on third-and-long.

This is going to be a completely different-looking offense than any the Eagles fan base has ever seen. It's a change that needed to happen, and with all these weapons at Mannion's disposal, there's no excuse for this offense not to flourish quickly.
