When it comes to Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman, no one can ever count him out of being able to acquire any player in the NFL.
Over the years, Roseman has pulled off some great trades and worked the salary cap to his advantage, getting all kinds of deals done. Nothing will be different with Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby as part of the trade rumors. According to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer, the Eagles are very much checking in with the Raiders on Crosby.
"We should know soon enough which path the Raiders are taking, with teams like Dallas, Chicago, Baltimore, Buffalo, New England, Philadelphia and the Rams keeping tabs on his availability."
Eagles are in the conversation about Maxx Crosby
Crosby has racked up 439 tackles, 164 quarterback hits, 133 tackles for loss, 69.5 sacks, 29 pass deflections, 11 forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and one interception in 110 career NFL games. He has been selected to four Pro Bowls during his time with the Raiders.
If the Eagles want to get a deal done to acquire Crosby, it's not going to be a cheap option for the team. Philly is most likely going to have to give up two first-round picks for him, which might be too steep a price to pay, especially since the Eagles have other needs.
A Crosby trade feels like a last-ditch effort kind of move for Roseman to try to improve the pass rusher if things go south with re-signing edge rusher Jaelan Phillips. The Eagles are reportedly trying to get Phillips on a long-term deal before he enters free agency, but if he signs elsewhere, it might leave Philly with no choice but to strike a deal with the Raiders.

Roseman himself said he would always listen to calls. The same can be said about making calls, as he is willing to do whatever it takes to get the Eagles back in the Super Bowl.
