10 Philadelphia Eagles with no room for error once training camp begins

  • Another training camp approaches.
  • Much of the Eagles 53-man roster is already set in stone.
  • There are no guarantees for the bubble players on the bottom half of the roster.

Trey Sermon, running back

The incumbents are Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott, two guys that are better than most believe them to be. The new guys are D'Andre Swift and Rashaad Penny. They have earned reputations for being unable to stay healthy, but both are immensely talented.

That has all been stated to say this. Attention Trey Sermon... We realize you arrived in Philly with a fan club, but you're going to have to provide some otherwordly moments if you expect to creep onto the roster.

Kennedy Brooks, running back

Much of what we stated in reference to Sermon can be rehashed for the Kennedy Brooks argument before we replace the former's name with the latter's. There's just one issue that Brooks has that might be foreign to every other Eagles tailback. He doesn't have anyone behind him on the depth chart.

As is the case with Sermon, Brooks needs a humongous summer. The only issue with that is Brooks isn't as talented as the other guys Philly is bringing to camp.

Stranger things have happened. Still, it's probably safe to say that all roads for Brooks lead, at best, to the practice squad. We're pulling for him. He has the potential to be exciting.

Take a walk down memory lane Eagles fans!
