21 NCAA standouts who are locks for the Eagles draft board post Senior Bowl
Cedric Gray, linebacker, UNC Tar Heels
Welcome to the linebacker's portion of our list. We have a quartet. The first is UNC's Cedric Gray.
He put on a show in Mobile, totaling seven tackles and coming oh so close to grabbing two interceptions. Oh well... Those still count as pass breakups.
Jeremiah Trotter Jr., LB, Clemson Tigers
Well,,, This would certainly make our hearts sing. Like Joey Porter Jr. landing in Pittsburgh, seeing Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in an Eagles jersey feels like something that needs to happen.
He did it all for Clemson this season en route to a First-Team All-ACC nod at season's end. Come on Philly! Move Nakobe Dean to outside linebacker and make this one happen for us.
Trevin Wallace, LB, Kentucky Wildcats
We didn't know this until we watched the Senior Bowl on Saturday, but former Kentucky standout Trevin Wallace gets to the ball in a hurry. Three of his six tackles in the game came within a yard or so of the line of scrimmage. As a junior in 2023, he collected 80 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and an interception before declaring for the NFL Draft.
Payton Wilson, LB, N.C. State Wolfpack
Payton Wilson is one of the players the Eagles met with during the Senior Bowl. He stands at six-foot-four and tips the scales at 234 pounds. He can run and cover and racked up several trophies for the case in 2023.
Read them and weep: Chuck Bednarik Award, Butkus Award, Unanimous All-American. He was also named ACC Defensive Player of the Year and a First-Team All-ACC nod for the second time in his career.
