It's hard to know what to expect during opening-day games. That is certainly true of the Eagles' Week 1 affair versus Bill Belichick and the Patriots.

Ezekiel Elliot is a New England Patriot, and that's a potential problem

It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to worry about the Desai thing because his defense in 2021 was way way way less talented than his defense is now, but facts are facts. Another undisputable fact, unfortunately, is that there is a new fella on the Patriots roster that plays really really well against the Birds.

13. Ezekiel Elliott has played the Eagles 12 times, and his teams were 9-3 in those games.

Why won't he go away? Please just go away. Stop bothering us.

14. Ezekiel Elliott has 223 carries for 1107 yards against the Eagles (4.9 yards per carry).

To put that in comparison, Boston Scott dominates the New York Giants and he averages 4.8 yards per carry against the them. Again, we wish Zeke would go away.

15. The Patriots paid Zeke $6 Million so they could have positive rushing yards in Week 1

Rhamondre Stevenson is going to be the Patriots' RB1, but he doesn't have the same resume as Zeke. He's good, but not scary.

Not every player on the Patriots roster has the same history and is as dangerous to the Eagles as Zeke. Take their quarterback, Mac Jones, for instance:

16. Mac is short for McCorkle

His first name is Michael. Just go by Michael. Just drop anything McCorkle related you big dummy.

17. McCorkle is the second-worst name in history

There was a bad guy in Germany a while ago. He had the worst name BY FAR.

18. Mac Jones ended 2022 with 14 Passing TDS, 11 INTs, and a passer rating of 84.5

He ended the season being ranked the 29th quarterback on NFL.com. There's no real reason to think he can take a huge step forward this year.

Compare those numbers to Jalen Hurts’ numbers and you can really see how much the dork in Boston struggles.

19. Jalen Hurts ended 2022 with 22 passing TDs, 6 INTs, and a passer rating of 101.5

He ended the season being ranked the second best quarterback on NFL.com. There's absolutely a reason to think can take a step forward.
