5 Eagles besides James Bradberry who didn't live up to expectations in 2023

We didn't get the season from James Bradberry that we expected, but there are plenty of other Eagles we can state the same thing about.

Jalen Hurts, quarterback

It pains us to say this. We were first to board the Jalen Hurts train, and we have been passengers since Carson Wentz was here. Something is off with QB1 though.

Maybe he has given up on what Nick Sirianni is selling. Maybe he just hit a snag, and everything will be fine. The facts are the facts though. QB1 took a step back in 2023.

Sure, he can be aided by better coaching and better play-calling. We're still upset about seeing him lose his most recent playoff game for the same reasons that he lost his first. He's going to be making too much money in 2024 to function as a B+ quarterback.

Every Eagles cornerback not named Darius Slay or Kelee Ringo

Okay, we're mentioning an entire position group. That will push our tally well past five names. We have a lot to talk about here though.

James Bradberry's regression came faster than we hoped. Eli Ricks isn't ready, at least not yet. Josh Jobe didn't take the step forward that we thought he might. We can continue, and as a matter of fact, we will.

Avonte Maddox got hurt in Week 2 and was out of action for a long time. He also looked really rusty when he returned. Darius Slay missed time too. At least he didn't regress like Bradberry did.

Bradley Roby isn't very good. He probably won't be back. Here's the verdict. Philly still needs bodies at cornerback. We aren't that pumped about Zech McPhearson and Isaiah Rodgers' returns.
