It may be time for Julio Jones and Justin Evans to begin thinking about life after football.

Julio Jones and Justin Evans were two veteran pickups the Eagles added to help provide some leadership and, hopefully, big plays from time to time. Let's just say things haven't worked out as we expected. That's about as nice as we can be at this point.

4. Julio Jones, wide receiver

Look, Howie Roseman is the top roster craftsman in the game. Still, respectfully, we have to state that we don't know what he's seeing at times.

Julio Jones has played his way into having a legitimate argument for Pro Football Hall of Fame induction. Unfortunately, he's now living off of a reputation that he once earned but can no longer state he owns.

There simply isn't much left, and if we're being honest, anyone could have seen that had they watched him with the Titans or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

5. Justin Evans, safety

This feels like kicking a man when he is down. For that, we apologize, but Justin Evans' current stay on the Eagles injured reserve won't assure him of a roster spot next season.

He signed a one-year deal on March 20th, and it's hard to imagine a scenario where he's kept around for the long term. He's only 28, but knee injuries are harder to bounce back from as we all age. This appears to be one of those world-famous one-and-done scenarios.

Dishonorable mentions: Shaquille Leonard, Rashaad Penny, Albert Okwuegbunam

Three guys who are definitely worth mentioning as guys to keep our eyes on are Shaquille Leonard, Rashaad Penny, and Albert Okwuegbunam. Leonard is a band-aid and mercenary, and he plays a position the Birds don't value. Penny has barely played. He's earned 11 offensive snaps in the Eagles' first 13 games and another seven on special teams. Albert O just isn't what Philly hoped he would be.

It's probably safe to assume that they won't be back in 2024. Stranger things have happened, but if we were to guess right now. We'd assume they won't be back on the roster next season.
