A.J. Brown inks his extension and makes intentions about his Eagles future known

A.J. Brown... Eagle for life... Frankly, we like the sound of it.

Maybe there is some truth to that 'NFL wide receivers are divas' thing. Before we move forward, we aren't calling A.J. Brown a diva, but you must admit. A lot of these guys are high-maintenance. Ask any Philadelphia Eagles fan though, and they'll tell you this is a needed piece on offense.

Having an elite player at the position won't guarantee you a Super Bowl trophy. Just look at everyone from Cris Carter and Randy Moss to Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson. One thing is certain though. If you lack talent at the position, you'll often ponder what could have been. Just ask former Philadelphia Eagles signal-caller Donovan McNabb.

Jalen Hurts doesn't have an easy job by any means. Playing quarterback at the professional level might be the toughest position to master in all of professional sports, but having Dallas Goedert, Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith, and A.J. Brown as teammates helps.

Let's talk about that A.J. fellow for a few ticks.

A.J. Brown wants to remain with the Eagles for the reminder of his NFL career.

Many moons ago, Jeffrey Lurie walked over to Howie Roseman and informed his vice president/general manager that he'd like to see Jalen Hurts be placed in the best possible position to be successful.

Howie sure did his job in that aspect didn't he?

We could talk about the best offensive line in the game all day. Let's talk about those skill players though.

Dallas Goedert is signed through the 2025 NFL season. Barkley was added on March 13th. DeVonta Smith agreed to an extension on April 15th. That brings us to our pal, Mr. Brown.

The three-year, $96 million extension A.J. signed agreed to on April 25th was signed by Number 11 five days later. He also made his intentions known.

A.J. Brown as an Eagle for life, huh? So much for the trade rumors and theories that he's unhappy. So much for those rumors about jealousy between him and DeVonta (Number 6 made sure to clear that up a while ago). So much for DeVonta's extension ruining any chance of hanging on to A.J. Number 11 will be sticking around for a while.

A.J. Brown is a bit much and temperamental at times. There's no denying that, but calling him a 'diva' might be a bit much. We can live with the emotions. They make him who he is, but we know he loves Philly and Eagles fans, and we love him right back.
