  • Saturday and Sunday brought morning Eagles practices.
  • We're told Philly participated in a stress-free walkthrough on Monday.
  • The Eagles welcome the Colts for a joint session on Tuesday.
  • That gave us some time to dig through our notes and share some cool stories.

Jalen Hurts lights up our imaginary stat sheets with a phenomenal Sunday showing.

Sunday's practice session marked Philly's 14th of training camp. Jalen Hurts was on fire. Perhaps 94 WIP-FM mainstay Eliot Schorr-Parks said it best.

"Sunday might have been Hurts' best day of camp so far.

Feels like in every single period he had a few impressive throws. He made touch throws, tight window throws, deep throws. Throws that he had no business completing but he got the ball in the perfect spot.

His best throw of the day was probably a TD to Smith in the back of the end zone. Plenty of traffic in front of Smith but Hurts got it through the defenders and hit Smith right in stride where only he could get it

Excellent day for the #Eagles franchise QB

Grade: A+

24/27, 3 TD, 0 INT"

QB1, though we don't want him to run as much this season, has also impressed as a scrambler. He's both faster and more elusive. Stay tuned. This could be a fun season.

Nick Sirianni expects perfection. Nothing else will be tolerated.

Sunday's practice wasn't totally seamless. This isn't the first time this has happened, but during one drill in particular, there was an issue with a rough-looking substitution. Head coach Nick Sirianni wasn't having it, and he totaled a megaphone as a result.

If memory serves, the last time this occurred, there was that thing with Sean Desai, the defense's substitution issues, and Howie Roseman cleaning things up. We won't revisit any of that. Those stories have been told enough.

The special teams unit felt Sirianni's flames this time around. A ton of emphasis is being placed on efficiency (as it should be). We'll have to wait and see if Coach has a new megaphone on Tuesday.
