Eagles roster: One theory surrounding every Week 13 transaction before Philly's game vs. 49ers

Here's a singular phrase to describe every Week 13 transaction after the Eagles juggled their injuries, hosted free agents, and rearranged the members of their practice squad.

Josiah Scott and Cam Sims are signed to the practice squad on November 30th.

As stated earlier, being dismissed by the Eagles doesn't mean you won't return at some point. When in a pinch, Philly often reaches out to guys they already know. That doesn't mean they're opposed to bringing in fresh faces though.

On Thursday, they did both. They added the recently-released Josiah Scott to the practice squad along with wide receiver Cam Sims.

Greg Ward is released from the practice squad.

The new additions meant someone had to leave us for now. That turned out to be Greg Ward, but if anyone knows what it's like to ride the emotional roller coaster we refer to as the practice squad, it's Ward.

Again, we shouldn't rule out the possibility of a return though.

Fletcher Cox and Grant Calcaterra are both deemed questionable for Sunday's game.

Fletcher Cox and Grant Calcaterra were both injured in Week 12 versus the Buffalo Bills. Despite valiant efforts, we're still unsure of their statuses for Sunday's Week 13 contest.

Inactives will be announced 90 minutes ahead of the game's kickoff. We'll see if either can go versus the 49ers once we see that happen.
