Eagles versus Commanders: Reasonable requests, bold expectations for Week 8

They say one should never count wins before they happen, but you'll have to forgive us if we're strutting into this Eagles versus Commanders football game

The Eagles defense sacks Sam Howell seven times.

With each passing week, it's beginning to look like Sam Howell will be sacked 100 times or more this season. Washington surrendered six sacks to the lowly New York Giants, and the G-Men don't get to anyone.

Big Blue walked into their Week 7 game having earned a measly five sacks on the season. They now sit at 11. Somewhere, the Eagles defensive pass rush is salivating.

Buddy Ryan and Jim Johnson are smiling from the grave. This could get ugly and do so rapidly.

A.J. Brown sets an NFL record versus Washington's secondary.

A.J. Brown is an alien. We could stop there and feel comfortable in our analysis and feel as if we have said enough. We will however continue.

Last week, he tied an NFL record and joined Pat Studstill and Calvin Johnson as the only players in NFL history to notch 125 yards receiving in five consecutive games. The last time he played the Commanders, earlier this month, he collected 175 yards receiving and two TDs on 13 targets and nine receptions.

Something tells us that Washington hasn't solved its 'How do we defend A.J. Brown?' problem. Who's dowm for witnessing some history?
