The 'weren't these guys supposed to be more impressive?' tier

Many believed the Detroit Lions had a shot at winning the NFC North. They still do, but the Green Bay Packers aren't going away quietly.

How about those Eagles? They land in the top ten at number seven.

10. Detroit Lions (+3.0)
9. Baltimore Ravens (+5.3)
8. Green Bay Packers (+6.0)
7. Philadelphia Eagles (+8.3)
6. Kansas City Chiefs (+12.7)

The 'We aren't going to call these guys elite, are we?' tier

Get a load of this top five. Well, when a team hangs 70 points on an opponent and wins by their third game by 50, what do you expect. Don't expect that type of production by the Dolphins weekly though.

5. Cleveland Browns (+13.7)
3. Dallas Cowboys (+16.0)
3. San Francisco 49ers (+16.0)
2. Buffalo Bills (+18.7)
1. Miami Dolphins (+19.7)

If you haven't learned anything from this list, here's some food for thought. No one believes the Cleveland Browns are among the NFL's top five teams. Well, you shouldn't believe that anyway.

As we stated earlier, it's a week-to-week league. Sometimes, the Eagles are going to win big. Sometimes, the games will be tighter. Dallas blew out a bad New York Giants team. Then, they were humbled by the Cardinals.

Philly will be alright. They're still among pro football's top teams, and here's the good news. They'll improve better as the season wears on.
