We did the math so you won't have to. By the time the Philadelphia Eagles buckle those chin straps before their showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football, more than 15 days will have elapsed since the last time we saw them play a football game.

The most recent tilt doubled as a gut-wrenching win over the hated Dallas Cowboys. The good guys won, but something tells us that earning a victory in the next game will be a more daunting task.

Philly is a slight road dog. Hey, they get Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes after a bye. Arrowhead Stadium is the backdrop, so that's to be expected.

Still, the Birds will have a shot to take this one. Let's hope the break allowed them some rest. Heaven knows they'll need their best effort versus the Chiefs.

Four NFL teams are taking some time off in Week 11.

Four NFL teams are enjoying byes this week, two from each conference. Here's the list.

  • Atlanta Falcons
  • New Orleans Saints
  • New England Patriots
  • Indianapolis Colts

This isn't going to affect Eagles Nation a ton. That is, unless, of course, you're just interested in what the Saints are doing because you're trying to gauge their draft positioning.

As many of you know, One of Philly's pair of second-round selections in next April's NFL Draft is one they own the rights to because of a previous trade with New Orleans. Currently, they are the NFC South's top-ranked team, but if they suddenly fall on hard times, no Birds fan would mind.

Philly is scheduled to make three picks during the coming draft's first two rounds. Hopefully, if the Saints begin a downward turn, the positioning of the choice Philly owns the rights to will come sooner rather than later.
