  • The Eagles are back on top.
  • The Cowboys are frauds.
  • The Giants didn't have to deal with Boston Scott.

The Washington Commanders vs. the San Francisco 49ers

I’m sure the Commanders would like to concede, but too bad for them, they have to have guys on the field for the full 60 minutes. Not even necessarily players, just guys. Just a group of fellas that can line up.

Prediction: 49ers -13.5

13.5 points is a very wide spread, but the 49ers will be coming in hot after losing in prime time last week. They’re still the best team in the NFC and they’re going to take a page from the Cowboys' playbook and bully a TERRIBLE Commanders team.

Yeah, the Commanders are going to march out Jacoby Brissett, but that doesn’t move the needle at all. The only thing this does is that it makes sure Sam Howell won’t break David Carr’s record of being the most-sacked quarterback in a single season, and that’s no fun at all.

The New York Giants vs. the Los Angeles Rams

This game is actually kind of important for us. If the Rams win this game and the Seahawks lose their game, Los Angeles will clinch a playoff berth and won’t have anything to play for in Week 18. They In play the 49ers in Week 18 by the way. If L.A. were to beat the 49ers, the Eagles could still earn the top seed in the NFC… Unfortunately, the Rams aren't going to win this game, and they probably won't even give us their best effort.

Prediction: Rams -5.5

It’s kind of weird that the Rams are only a 5.5-point favorite here. It probably has something to do with the Giants keeping the Week 16 game relatively close. We all saw that game though, and the Eagles' inability to put Big Blue away was the reason that game was close. The Eagles made stupid, horrible, gut-wrenching mistakes and the Giants capitalized on them.

The Rams aren’t making those mistakes. As a matter of fact, they are playing VERY good football right now. Their running game is crushing it, their passing game is flourishing, and their defense is playing pretty decently. That’s really all it takes to put up points and humiliate the Giants. L.A. should get the win here.
