Those of you who are familiar with this platform have heard the following statement several times. For the sake of discussion, however, it feels like this one bears repeating. Some of you teenagers and young adults may not have experienced the extent of how venomous the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants rivalry can be.

Now, there are reasons for that. This is probably because the Birds have owned Big Blue more often than not for a while now, but trust us on this one. The rest of us hate them just as much as the Dallas Cowboys.

Again, Philly has consistently taken the measure of the Giants. So even though this is one of pro football's longest and most storied rivalries, it has been harder to muster up the hatred lately, especially when we're distracted because Dallas keeps taking the Eagles' measure. Something tells us that will change in 2024.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni takes his shot at Giants fans.

Say what you will about Philly's CEO head coach. Nick Sirianni has led his team to the postseason in each of his first three seasons. Part of the reason for that has been his success versus the Giants. Hey, the easiest way to the postseason is by winning the division, right?

There's another angle here. Perhaps you have heard. Saquon Barkley has joined the nest, and much of Big Blue's contingent has viewed that action as treachery (even though New York didn't offer him the extension he was looking for).

Since then, Giants fans have been dunked on by everyone from Birds fans to Saquon Barkley's daughter. Don't look now, but it appears Philly's head coach has joined the party.

Those of you who quickly drift into Nick Sirianni fatigue when bothered by his antics wont like this one. That isn't the point. The best part of this is Giants fans aren't going to like it either.

Ahead of Philly's first mandatory minicamp practice of Nick's Eagles coaching era he spoke to the media. You know that anything can occur when that happens.

Is anyone shocked? We didn't think so. Let's move on.

Here is a reminder to purchase your tickets. Saquon Barkley's two-city revenge tour has been confirmed. We'll have much to talk about leading up to the games in Week 7 and Week 18.
