Will the Washington Commanders ever become a respectable football team?

We have discussed all the issues the Washington Commanders have had on and off the field ad nauseam. There's no reason to revisit all of that here.

In 2022, they finished with a mediocre 8-8-1 record. They had to scratch and claw to do so. Nothing came easy. Things got worse in 2023.

There wasn't much hope for a Commanders team that would wind up finishing 4-13. They won all four preseason games and their first two regular-season games, but sadly, if you're a fan of this team (which we aren't), that was the best it would get. Everything went down here from there.

If you think the Eagles' collapse was bad, look at what was going on with Washington. After beginning the season with a 2-0 mark, they lost 13 of their final 15 games. Eric Bieniemy couldn't get the offense roaring. Sam Howell was sacked 65 times. The defense gave up 30 points or more ten times last season.

It's a new day... maybe. There's a new ownership group in our nation's capital, one led by Josh Harris. Dan Quinn leaves the Cowboys to take over as the head coach. The question now is this? Can they resurrect a once-proud franchise?
