Tyler Nubin, Safety, Minnesota
Along with their cornerback room, the Eagles need to seriously consider improving the safeties on their roster. Even with the addition of former All-Pro Kevin Byard and the solid play of Reed Blankenship, their depth for future years is not solidified.
Minnesota safety Tyler Nubin would not only bring much-needed depth to the Philadelphia secondary but could take over as one of the starting safeties in short order.
Nubin, a fifth year player for the Golden Gophers, has consistently improved over his college career. The improvement has culminated in a terrific 2023 season that should put him on the draft radar.
The Minnesota safety has 43 tackles and 15 assists, in addition to having five pressures and a sack. Nubin, in coverage, has five interceptions, four pass breakups, and a touchdown.
Considering his solid tackling, great coverage ability, and ball-hawking nature, Nubin would be a great addition to the Eagles and would be a key contributor right off the bat.
