Philadelphia Eagles fans just have to wait two more weeks to see which of the next great players will step up and perform well in 2026.

The Eagles sure could use some breakout stars after a disappointing 2025 season that ended with a Wild Card Round loss. During the offseason, there were sweeping changes to the coaching staff, with some smaller moves made to try to become something bigger this season.

Entering training camp, five players come to mind who are ready to have breakout seasons for the Eagles. Here is the group to keep an eye on during training camp and through the 2026 campaign.

5 Eagles players who are going to have breakout 2026 seasons

Dontayvion Wicks, WR

Wicks has some big shoes to fill after the Eagles traded A.J. Brown away. The lengthy receiver will take over Brown's spot on the outside and should play a critical role in the offense after having a small role with the Green Bay Packers over the last few years. Wicks has the potential to be a great receiver, but has never reached it, so this is his shot to prove he's a starter in the NFL.

Riq Woolen, CB

OTAs gave Eagles fans a glimpse into what the 2026 season could look like for Woolen after three stellar weeks of work. That first impression was needed after an up-and-down year with the Seattle Seahawks last season, helping them win the Super Bowl. All the attention is on All-Pros Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean, but Woolen might end up shining brighter than them.

Jalyx Hunt, EDGE

It felt like last year was the breakout season for Hunt after leading the Eagles in sacks (6.5) and interceptions (three). More is left on the table for him, though, as the young pass rusher has potential to be an elite defender in the NFL. 2026 could unleash Hunt in a way that the fan base has never seen from a defensive player in franchise history.

Tyler Steen, OG

In his first year as a starter, Steen played in every game and did a decent job. He wasn't perfect, but he played well enough to earn another season in the lineup. Many people are calling for Mekhi Becton to be brought back to replace Steen, so there is motivation for the young man to prove that he is the next great Eagles offensive lineman.

Moro Ojomo, DT

When Jalen Carter was hurt last year, it was Ojomo who stepped up and showed that he can be a starter in the NFL. This season might be his last since he's about to become a free agent and could be playing for a massive contract next offseason. For the time being, watch for Ojomo to truly break out and earn more snaps even with Carter and Jordan Davis ahead of him.
