Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has a nose for talent and can find some great Day 3 gems in the NFL Draft.
Some of his best selections on Day 3 include guys like Jason Kelce and Moro Ojomo. There is a new one who has everyone's attention and could be an elite player in this league, one Roseman doesn't want to slip out of his hands.
Ryan Fowler reported that the Eagles are one of the many teams interested in bringing in Nigerian defensive lineman Uar Bernard for a visit at some point. Bernard has gone viral because he is 6-foot-4 and 306 pounds, yet he has only 6% body fat. Here are some of the other insane measurements from his workout:
40-yard dash: 4.60 seconds
Vertical: 39”
Broad Jump: 10’6”
Bench: 31
Eagles want to bring in Uar Bernard in for a visit
Bernard played basketball in high school, but was invited to the NFL Nigeria camp in 2024 and, the next year, to the NFL Africa camp in Cairo. He has been part of the International Player Pathway since last year.
Roseman loves his defensive linemen, but Bernard is a different kind of player. He's freakishly athletic and super fast. The problem is, nobody knows whether all these great measurements will translate into Bernard being a good NFL player.
Using a Day 3 draft pick is not a crazy idea for the Eagles, as he seems to be worth the risk. Bernard's measurements are exactly the kind of athletic defensive lineman Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio would love to have on his team.
Bernard could move around between playing inside with Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis to rushing off the edge. The speed Bernard has would make it too tough not to have him be an edge rusher since he's incredibly fast and could be athletic enough to drop back into coverage.

It may take Bernard a while to get used to the NFL game, but if the Eagles select him and can get him to play at a high level, the league had better watch out, as Philly will be right back in the Super Bowl conversation.
