26. Cleveland Browns (from Indianapolis)
Brandin Cooks
Wide Receiver, Oregon State
Previously: Brandin Cooks (Wide Receiver, Oregon State)
Giorgos:
Brandin Cooks goes to the Cleveland Browns to form a lethal duo with Josh Gordon. Cooks is an extremely fast receiver that can play outside or in the slot. He is a good route runner, even thought he is not very experienced in running some of them. Hard to contain one-on-one. Drops have not been an issue for him, but he certainly can improve his pass catching.
Dave:
This pick just isn’t fair. The Browns have had a fantastic offseason and already addressed their quarterback issue with Johnny Manziel at the fourth overall pick. Already having Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron, the Browns decide to add another weapon to the passing game and it doesn’t get any more dangerous than Brandin Cooks. He can score from anywhere on the field and also provides a fallback plan in case Gordon slips up and gets suspended.
