15. Los Angeles Rams: Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis

The Rams made a foolish trade for Nick Foles last year and, predictably, it hasn’t worked out. Foles is an ineffective starter in the NFL and the Rams need to find someone new to take over. That’s where Lynch comes in.

Lynch isn’t a slam dunk himself, but he offers a trait that Foles lacks completely; athleticism. Lynch ran for 15 touchdowns his last two seasons at Memphis and he knows how to use his big body to get out of trouble. For the most part, Lynch makes good decisions, but his accuracy needs work.

An ideal situation for Lynch would be to sit behind a veteran for a year or two, but with the Rams moving to Los Angeles and going through a period of transition, they may feel encouraged to give Lynch the keys to the car immediately, which could be either really good or really bad in the long run. Only time will tell.
