Mr. Maclin, you’ve met Andy Reid’s Dr Jekyll. Now meet Mr. Hyde.

More from Inside the Iggles

Reid attended Maclin’s wedding on May 20th and released him on June 2nd. Wouldn’t it seem like he’d be a little uncomfortable at the man’s wedding? Is anyone else wondering how he must have felt? He had to know, then, that he wasn’t bringing him back right? Maclin seemed to be oblivious to all of this. He was just enjoying himself and making one of the biggest decisions of his entire life.

Whatever Reid was or wasn’t feeling or may or may not have known is something we may never have the answer to, but being there for one of the biggest moments of his life and one of the worst about 13 days later is the stuff great dramas are made out of.

Yes, football’s a business. Sure, if the Chiefs had no plans of bringing Maclin back, then this is probably the best thing, but you’re never going to convince us that Reid’s a teddy bear again. Honestly, that other side is one of the reasons we like him.
