Health is Wealth

The Eagles have struggled against the Redskins over the past few seasons. They’ve gone 5-5 in the past ten trips taken to FedExField. Their inability to stand up against one of the former bottom feeders in the division is clearly noticeable, but there is a factor that needs to be taken into serious consideration.

The Eagles are 100% healthy going into week one.

No projected starter is questionable to take the field on Sunday. According to Bleeding Green, Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said “everyone would be a full participant.” That may not sound too terribly significant to a fan from another team, but if you’re an Eagles fan, you should thank your lucky stars. They’re faring better than their opponent on the injury card, and that could be a key to give them the edge.

Washington is missing their defensive end Trent Murphy, who sustained a season-ending injury earlier in the year. While Washington’s defense isn’t a shining example in the NFL, they’re consistently able to stop the run on the ground. With a lack of receivers, Wentz will need to utilize his backs as targets.
